Introducing...
Jeanne Lampson, Watercolor Artist

"I enjoy the freedom of watercolors."

Vibrant and alive with color and texture --- good words to describe the beautiful watercolor creations of artist Jeanne Lampson. Her lifelong studies of art and nature have brought her to a point of wide recognition and appreciation by art students, afficionados and instructors alike. At her studio, "The Flower Gallery," near Natural Bridge, NY, she creates year 'round beauty from the passing of seasons and their endless flow of color.

As a skilled member of several Adirondack North Country groups including the North Country Artist's Guild, the Artist's Association of Northern New York and the Central New York Watercolor Society, Jeanne has taught numerous watercolor workshops. By request, she has also led adult education classes in art. Her talent bespeaks deep understanding of the craft and power of watercolor art to portray a beautiful world, often unseen by others.

Primarily self-taught, Jeanne has studied with well-known artists Tony Couch, Vern Mauk, Guy Corriero, Anatol Mickel, Susan Spencer and Hans Junga.

She writes: "I enjoy the freedom of watercolors. They have an unpredictable flow to them which lends to landscapes and florals," saying also that she gets much of her inspiration from nature --- and of course, the well-tended and diverse flower gardens she has spent years developing around her home and studio.

Jeanne can be contacted by phone at (315) 493-1611, via email at jeannelbl@yahoo.com or USPS at 42466 County Route 41, Natural Bridge NY 13665.
